Hand-Crafted Thanksgiving Card
This card is a good example of how you can use vellum quotes and brads to enhance your cards
Card Materials
- Green Card Stock Cut to 11" wide to 7.5" in length folded length wise
- Green Card Stock Cut to 2" x 2" square
- Red Card Stock Cut to 4.5" x 2" and 2.5" x 2.5"
- Mulberry Paper torn to measure slightly smaller than front of card
- Vellum Quote
- Small Gold or Brass Brads
- Decorative Leaf Brads
Crafting Tools Needed:
- Paper Crimper
- Push Pin to make holes
Card Instructions
Cut and fold all card stock to size. Crimp red pieces with paper crimper. Tear or cut Mulberry paper and then fray the edges. The edges will fray a little better if you lightly wet them first. Glue mulberry paper to front of green card stock.
Take the Green card stock 2" x 2" square and use a push pin to make holes and push the leaf brads through the holes. Glue the green piece to the red crimped square and glue red square to the mulberry paper. Cut the vellum quote to a littler smaller than the red card stock rectangle . Use the push pin to make holes in the vellum and the Red card stock. Adhere the vellum quote to the card stock with the small brads (don't use glue on vellum or it will show). Glue the red card stock rectangle on to the top of the mulberry paper.
